Just how manufactured it is. The "forced romance" is really irritating, as are the higher prices for flowers, the lame cards, the crowded restaurants, and listening to all the sad-sack singles complain about how lonely they are.

It's just a really lousy holiday, plain and simple.

Every couple possible that walks around me, or anyone talking about what they and their sweetheart are going to do for valentines day.

I don't because it is the best day of the year. There is nothing that can ruin it. I forgot one thing I am asking for my girlfriend to marry me on Valentines Day. If she says no then that would ruin it.

The most annoying thing is all of my married coworkers (who frequently complain about being married) who become suddenly worried about me being single on Valentines day.

I hate the women with the attentive boyfriends or husbands that actually think of them on Valentines. The endless bouquets of flowers, boxes of chocolates, and langerie bags. Yuk!!! Please.
