Well I think the following "social groups" are at my school:
*Preps/rich kids
*Jocks
*Girl athletes
*Nerds
*loners
*weirdos(I don't mean they're freaks, I mean that they don't care about social standings and act differently then others. I actually like this group!)
*mexicans(I have a few hispanic friends, but they usually hang out together and speak Spanish)
*Black people(I'm black, but not in this "group". People consider me white because of it! It's ridiculous!)
*Emo/goth
Try not to put people in social groups. High school alone is hard enough!

Adults. They come under several social groups:
Professionals
Technos (I would say technos would be a teen social group as well-they are different from nerds)
Blue Collar
Artists (another teen group-could be the thespians, the art crowd, the group that has their own band)
Bohemians (another teen group--the kids who are into alternative spirituality like Wicca or horoscopes)
Other (neo-Nazi skinheads, hard core drug addicts, social mistfits--hopefully no budding members of this group in your high school)
