Blue seems to be out. What do you think? What do you think are the most popular colors besides the smokey look?

I dislike most blue eyeshadows. I think they tend to look tacky and cheap. However, I do like the smoky eye look with navy eyeshadow. Metallic or sparkly blue shadows can also look really hot if they are applied correctly. Bottom line is that blue eyeshadow isn't good for a daytime look. It should be used for special events or for a glamorous evening look.

No! Blue is in and looks great with brown eyes but any eye color works plus it is the easiest way to make a statement, most runway shows used blue eye shadow to create a blue smokey eye but if you are not as adventurous you can use liner and line your bottom lashline with a bright electric blue eyeliner and rim the inside, keep your lids neutral (just put concealor on them or just leave them bare), keep your lips nude and apply a couple (or more) coats of mascara

Green! I love it and the way I do it is so not 80's. I have nice red hair and hazel eyes which make the green stand out and compliment the rest of me. I use darker emerald tones, to pale pastels even. Like other people have mentioned try different shade and techniques. Personally I would suggest a contrasting eyeliner... that might help.

The concept of the color itself as eye shadow might be an 80's trend but its all about what works for you. Experiment & have fun. Remember, great things happened in the 80's!!!!

I wear a dark blue-almost navy if I am doing a smokey eye and wearing a blue shirt at night. But NO 80's blue-that is way out. We have a woman at work that wears 80's blue and we make fun of her.

besides the smokey eye look....hmm.... the only mascara and red lips seems to be "in" now, but not everyone can pull that look off.
a look that always seems to come back for spring/summer and that everyone can pull off is the shimmer soft pastels look. usually colors like light pink, bronze, gold, silver, lavender are "in". for fair skin, silver or pink on eyes with mascara, rosy cheeks, and soft natural lips. medium skin tones should use peachy or bronze eyeshadow, neutral cheeks and peachy gloss.
also for all seasons, dark brown eyeliner looks natural but pretty at the same time, it never goes out of style so you can use that too.

Apparently a lot of people think blue is tacky looking. I myself like brown and pink eye shadow the best.

I think its out, unless you're going for a crazy look. The most popular colors at my school are probably the more natural look. Like, tanish, pinks, sparkly. Some people like to wear crazy bright purple and orange and stuff like that sometimes. I think they're pretty cool when they do that. I've actually tried it a few times. Too. But if you want to fit in, pinks and browns will probably be the best.

Blue was in style back when the wore alot of it and really red lipstick to where they looked like an american flag, alot of people where neutral colors such as dark browns, light browns something along that line.

no blue shadow like the quads that loreal sells is in.....mostly pale hues of blues. basically in this time it's mostly looks that r in or out...for example using the dark dark blue for ur lids....that was for this season winter...in spring its using pale colors....n dont listen to others unless u r wearing a heap of make up u should wear what looks good on u. each eye color has colors that look good and don't.
