What are the chances of water breaking before going into labor in a second pregnancy?

My water broke at 37 weeks in my first pregnancy with no dilation, so I had a cesarean. My due date this pregnancy is March 19 and my cesarean is scheduled for March 12. I'm just very nervous my water will break on its own again.

Hi Karen, Every pregnancy you have are all going to be a little difference. If your water breaks before your due date just go to the hospital and they will make you stay. once your water breaks you can get infection real easy. They will want to watch you to be safe. You will have your baby delivery that day. Don't stress over something that hasn't happen yet. If your stressing about it that can cause you water to break. Yes stress can do that. Be careful and take care of yourself and the baby your waiting on. Congrats mommy. A Friend.

I don't know what the chances are for you but to share my story... With my first my water broke a day before due date and with my second it broke two weeks before due date. I expect this pregnancy to follow a similar pattern.

Increased vitamin C *may* make your amniotic sac stronger. Some studies say yes, and some say no.

If it does, they'll just do the c-section at that time. I don't know any stats on it breaking early though.
