I am going to be going to college in a couple years, and i think that the career that i have choosen is my passion,but my friend thinks that your career cant be your passion.What do you think?

You're career CAN be your passion, and if it is, you'll be very successful in life. But don't be surprised if what you THINK is your passion turns out not to be. At 18 years old, it's hard to choose your profession for the next 30 or 40 years. If you change your mind, or the job stalls out, just be ready to roll with it and adapt to the situation. Good luck!

There are more than 6 billion people on this planet. There are probably nearly 6 billion different answers to what their passion is. Yours may be different from you friends. I would be surprised if it was not. Yours may or may not change over time. It is what you are passionate about now. Do that now.
From my own experience, I have been passionate about my carreer and it makes work fun and me happy.

that depends on your personal definition of the term passion...i mean if it's something you feel very strongly for, then you can have several things that you would consider to be your passion - it could be food, law and ethics, math....in such a case, then your chosen career can very well be your passion. but i would hesitate on the 'for life' phrase...cause i agree with the answerer above when he said it can change as time goes by.

Do what you love to do (work that is) and you will be great. Don't let your job blow away your family and friends. Passion and fanatic two separate things, you can handle both.
