Is he hoping we will all think he is a great guy and that we will forget the mess Blair, with his blessing has made of this country. We all accept the mainly friendly football rivalry with Scotland but we should not allow politicions to use the game to divert attention from the many failures made by this corrupt government in the UK. I know the England footie fans and our canny Scots rivals will not be fooled by this latest Brown ruse.

Ollie I am not knocking the World Cup for 2018 - it is just that Gordon Brown is a Scot and in my opinion trying to distant himself from the current political problems with New Labour. Typical politician who kisses the babies at election times. He should be helping to clear up the mess he and Blair,- both Scots, have made of England. If he was English it may have been he was genuinely interested in the England football team but why should he be !

Gordie brown the MP for Kirkcaldy is shitting his breeks in case Scotland go the independence route. That would mean he couldn't be PM without getting an English constituency. His agenda is to make out that a united UK is best and hence his inane attempts at Britishness and trying to sook up to the nation that has the largest population. Thankfully our English cousins have seen that he is a traitor and hopefully he wion't be MP for Kirkcaldy for long whether Scotland gets independence or not. I bet his constituents think he is an **** too and will vote him out.

If GB gets elected as leader of the labour party and becomes PM the South of England can kiss a lot more money good bye because it will be going up north. Even more than now.

Host the world cup? Brown couldn't host a chimps tea party. Where is all the money going to come from? The olympics is going to cost millions more than was budgeted for.

I think we should get that out the way first.

After the Wembley fiasco. I hope that England do not get to host the World Cup in 2018. Most Londoners don`t even want the bl00dy olympic sh1te!

Who convinced you that the ghastly GB knows anything about money, England or sport? This guy's a sham - and, as you rightly point out, a Scot. Streuth, what next? The Welsh learning to speak English and play rugby?

That's like Harold Wilson and the 1966 World Cup - Labour spinning like the party of old.

I think Gordon and cronies will use anything to divert attention away from their misdeeds, don't worry they are all getting on in years and there is good chance they won't be alive in a few years, let alone in 2018.
