It's very common. I tried during the summer of my engagement to get some action because my girl was away in another state planning the wedding and I was stuck at school. There was only one close call, and that was some girl I wasn't even attracted to, but I was in need but it was a bunch of phone tag. She knew I had a girl, knew everything, and I could have even went after it after I was married but it just wasn't the same. Glad that didn't happen. Only other dumb stuff I did was crush on some girl I knew during summer school, which seriously did not go anywhere and I had a run in with some girl I tried a one-night with at work. The girl was glad to see me but I wasn't so much to see her, and my wife knew it, which sort of blew things out of proportion for a while; she got over it a lot sooner than I thought she would.

Well, does a me in my favorite nightie and a bag of double-stuff Oreos in front of a roaring fireplace in an otherwise a semi-dark, room count as a "final fling"? If so, yep, I had one.
How did things turn out? I had a big ol'tummy ache (to add to the butterflies already flitting about!)
Would I take it back? Ummm, I'd still do it, just not go quite as over the top; I'd down maybe half the bag instead.
How common do I think this is? Probably not very.

No "fling" before I got married. If you feel the need for a fling, dont bother getting married. Stay single and fling all you want. Hope this helps!

I'm confused a little bit...engaged and now married? I didn't have a fling before I got married or after.

Well, I'm not married yet (just a few months to go), but I have absolutely no intention of having a fling or any other form of cheating.
Why the hell would I get married if I wanted to screw around?

No, don't believe in cheating, whether married, engaged or just dating saying you are going steady with one person. Based on polls that I've seen & divorce rates, infidelities, multiple marriages,... it's blindly too common. People can & should learn from their mistakes. If you have a change & heart & attitude that's the best you can do -& admirable & detrimental to a loving, beneficial growth inside oneself. :)

No I did not have a last fling. I was too focussed on planning for our wedding, saving for our honeymoon, and keeping my fiancee from freaking out over last minute changes. Sounds to me like you're looking for other people who have so that you feel better about what you're planning on doing.

Why would I have cheated? That would pretty much have defeated the purpose of being engaged, wouldn't it?
I have nothing to take back, and nothing to be ashamed of.
It may be common, but that doesn't make it right.

My male friends talk about it more than I've ever heard my female friends talk about it. Guys act like its their "last chance" and feel entitled. It gave me a very low opinion of them. I wouldn't be getting married if I weren't totally in love and when I'm totally in love, I won't be cheating before or after the wedding.
