Not clear because you can't read or because you are a war-lover? Not clear on your boggled answer, sorry.

To clarify my question - Can the gradual drum beat towards war against Iran be averted? Meaning the obvious, are Americans dumb enough to be duped into another Iraq, thins time against Iran, who has done nothing to us.

No. As long as radical Islam is bent on continued attacks or threatening to attack the US and it's allies I see no quick end to any of the fighting in the Middle East, not just Iraq or Iran. It is sadly becoming a war of attrition. Whoever gets sick of taking the most casualties will be the first to withdraw. As long as the US has money and the will, they seem like they could keep up the fight forever, but dissent at home will prevent any real protracted war in the Middle East. Radical Islam is betting on it. In their case, they should be careful what they ask for, because at some point in time the US WILL give it to them. I think in time there will heavy fighting in both Iran and Syria as well as Iraq. We'll see..............

In the present environment escalation in Iraq would seem incentive for anti US forces to escalate efforts dramatically in an all out effort to continue to destabilize Iraq and thus further prove Bushes blunder in Iraq in the eye of the World. Furthermore it is difficult for me to believe that those in the know at the executive level are not perfectly aware that the chances are better than good that escalation in Iraq will incur acts of terrorism in the slums exponentially. The only explanation I can fathom is that they are intentionally fanning the flames for the purpose of producing terrorists acts heretofore unimagined in order to justify threading the war on into Iran and procure the funding required to do so. Increase in rhetoric concerning Iran’s weapons and munitions support that has historically already been known for years only lends credibility to this assessment.
If the Dems cut funds that would put a Ki Bosh on the NeoCon Cadence but to do so would justify GOP accusations of cut and run and it is highly speculative as to whether there are enough Dems with the Huevos to pull this off and get the US out of active military action and into a more diplomatic stance in the mind set of the Islamic world particularly in procurement of Islamic cooperation in curtailing militant Islamic extremists. We had this opportunity once just after 911 but the Neo Cons ambitions in Iraq squandered it. .
What concerns me is what an invasion into Iran will look like a couple of years down the road. Seems to me there is a good chance that down the road Iran would look a lot like Iraq today but on a larger scale with China smuggling munitions to support the militants and there by access the Oil resource which they are largely dependant upon at this juncture of remanufacturing the USA to read Made In China.
We really need to get our pee picking hands off other sovereign nations resources and deal with our energy problems either on the open market or internally. The Administration completely lost track of 3 times as much cash in Iraq as they are willing to spend on alternative energy at home. Go figure.

Gradual??? If you think this is a gradual, you better get your ears checked!! They're pounding those drums as hard as they can!!

Just kidding. I guess you could argue that the drumbeat has been gradually increasing over the years.

I just don't see how Bush could pull it off if the Congress is against him and the majority of his own party is against war with Iran and also 80% of the people (the other 20% listen to Rush) are against it. Having said that, I quickly remember that Bush has never ceased to amaze me.

that's particularly strange, because Bush replaced into in a position to cajole Russia and China into helping sanctions against Iran And so some distance Obama has no longer been in a position to cajole Russia and China to help sanctions against iran. and shall we no longer forget North Korea, who Bush had close down their nuclear guns application and nuclear reactors and allow global inspectors in to substantiate. Then Obama comes to a decision to let them restart both classes again and has no diplomatic talks in any respect.

Wether you are for a war on Iran or against, they still consider you to be an infidel and want to blow you up.

Iran and the likes are part of an evil religion that calls for the murder of anyone who disagrees with them and Muhammed. If you are an aetheist- Your dead! If you are Christian or Jewish-Dead!

They infiltrate countries by immigration and have a million babies and then slowly take over countries if not by politics, by insurgent militias and terrorists. They typically prey on countries with freedom of speech and religion and use those rights to try and defeat us. Look at the so called domestic spy program where they listened in on calls that originated from known terror countries to the USA. They effectively used the Democratic party (a bunch spineless weenies) to blast our government.

If a Christian converts a muslim in a muslim country, he gets the death penalty. If a girl is raped in Iran, the rapist gets a few years if any and the girl gets the death penalty.

If a Christian leaves Christianity, we pray for them. If a Muslim leaves Islam, they murder him. I could go on and on.

not clear in what you mean or what you have in mind. Iran has already taken the big steps to contradict united nations measures against its nuclear program. united nations is a body governed more than the USA participation. no one officially is talking about "a war now" so there is no need to talk about "aversion" either. hope it helps.

clearly we have freewill, ,
but this means our leaders assume they have freewill too
they do but not on the personalised abuse evil, vile level
not for fullfilling a 2000 year delusion srought by neo nazies pretending to be asheep of christ [neo cristian right doomsayers]
yet in league with the d-evil

our leaders are charged to keep the peace of the many
not make war on whim and lobby or folly
not to inflate the deficite like an exploding credit card to discredit a srtong caring christian nation into committing ongoing t-error,
we are more than those who lead us [our youth into the hereafter]
by lie as in we=opens of mass destraction
its time to seek for us some peace
not for them to ask for yet more war
its time to give to god
obey ing gods law
thou shalt not kill
have no gods of war before him
let the peace words be spoken
not gods laws be broken.
