asking this question is like asking who is the best goalie in the nhl over the last twenty years. you have many great names out there, but a couple of names stand out. its a toss up between bourque and orr. both were great players, and any gm would kill to have them on their team

This is hard, but some of them all are Bobby Orr, Ray Bourque, Phil Esposito,
Dit Clapper, Lionel Hitchman, Eddie Shore, Cam Neely, Johnny Bucyk, Milt Schmidt, Glen Murray, Joe Thornton and Terry O'Reilly. The player with the most points in Bruins history is Raymond Bourque who played 1518 games with the Bruins, and had 1506 points. So, you may think Bobby Orr is the best player all time for the Bruins, but he is 5th all-time in Bruins points, behind Bucyk, Esposito, and Middleton.

To put a good story short: The best player all time in Boston was and always will be - Raymond Bourque.

Eddie Shore and Bobby Orr

riders_fa...>>>>> yes Bourque is the all time Bruins points leader but don't forget he wouldnt be if Orr wasnt injured and had to retire early in his career.

Bobby Orr 10 years with Bruins 264 goals, 544 assits, 808 points in 495 games played with the Bruins.

total= 657GP 270G, 645A, 915PTS IN JUST 12 YEARS PLAYING HALF OF THEM INJURED.

Here's a quick stat to consider.

Bourque was +52 in 1979-80 and never improved on that.

Bobby Orr was +65, +54, +124, +86, +56, +84, +80 in successive seasons. Crazy.
