They'll try to work with you for a couple months, but after that they will send somebody after the car. When they get it back, it will go to auction. The finance company will hold you responsible for the balance left after your car is sold.

If you play games and hide the car, they'll have to spend more to get it and hold you responsible for those charges as well.

Depending on the state where you live, they may be able to actually get a judgement against you and get some of that money back. In Texas, they are out of luck. But some states allow wage garnishment, I hear.

The finance enterprise keeps calling via fact he stills owes them that money. If he does not pay what he owes and gets the truck back, it will be bought at public sale and he will nonetheless be in charge for the remainder of the unpaid stability. meaning they're going to take advertising fee at public sale and deduct from very own loan and which would be his final stability. If it incredibly is the 1st time he's gotten at the back of, they'd (in the event that they p.c. to) enable him to pay a definite share of the neglected money and positioned the relax previous due money on the top of the very own loan. regulation does not get entangled as that's a civil matter.

The bank or whoever you owe the note to will hire someone with a tow truck to spy on you. When they see a clear chance to latch on to your car they will take it.

From then on your credit goes all to hell. Don't keep anything valuable in your car.
