This is a bit demanding, but can people answer the following questions? I'm curious about France. (I'm a beginner in a foreign language class, and I'm captivated by France already.)
1) What's the most well known chateaux in France called?
2) What are some well-known/gourmet/etc. restaurants in France called?
3) What is something different in their lifestyles than that of people living in America?
4) Popular things in France? Fads?
5) A little background history?
6) If you've been there and went sight-seeing, what are some remarkable/beautiful places that you would note? (describe)
7) Anything else you can tell me you think I'd enjoy knowing.

1) Le chateau de Versailles, biggest and most beatiful castle in the world.
Le chateau de Vaux le Vicomte.
Les chateaux de Chambord, d'Amboise, de fontainebleau etc...

2) Le Fouquet's in Paris, L'auberge du pont de Collonges near Lyon.

3) French are epicurean and not inhibited. They don't like work, but like holidays, Food, Wine and Love.
Most of them are atheist.

4) Politic, international glory, soccer, Food, cinema, fashion, lingerie, love, love and love.

5) 2000 years of complex history between latin and germanic influences and different immigation flux. Go search on Wikipedia.

6) Paris, Brittany, Riviera, French Alps, Chateaux de la loire...
thousands of historic villages.

7) Little but very varied country. Culture is everywhere. You can spend you entire life to discover every aspect of France.
