i was thinking about getting my upper ear pierced, and i was wondering where and if there are any prefered methods, techniques, etc. I already have two piercings in each lower ear "lobe"[four total]. Thanks.

I've had my upper ears pierced for at least 15 years. I had both of them with a piercing gun--much less painful than going to a tattoo parlor and having it done with a big needle. I'm sure if you go to the mall and check the places that do regular lobe piercing will do your upper ears. I don't remember the pain being that much worse than the lower ears, but they do take longer to heal.

It hurts really bad to me I had it done once in each ear and it ended up not being my style so I let them grow in

NO! I did when I was 18 and only had it in for a year and 8 years later I still have a black scar from it.

We men don't really care if you get your cartilage pierced or not. But if you're doing it for style and like the look, go right ahead.............though i've heard it hurts a lot...........

I want to. Does this help? Never mind...I know it doesn't. Just felt like answering your question because it reminds me to get mine pierced.
