If the world's population continues to grow, yes, we will run out of resources here on earth.

I seriously doubt it. Mars is not conducive to life at all. It has a very thin and unbreathable carbon dioxide atmosphere, and very little water. Also, Mars lacks the magnetic field and ozone layer that the Earth has, which shields us from the sun's radiation. Mars recieves a high amount of solar particles and radiation that would quickly snuff out any life on the surface. We don't have any plants or "stuff" as you say growing on Mars right now. It has pretty much been declared that, because of radiation from the sun, the surface of Mars CANNOT support any life as we know it. However, there may be organisms living beneath the surface.

I don't know who told you we are growing "plants and stuff" on Mars but it's time to get a new informant. (Is it the first of April? - - no) Some tests have being made with soil gas and temperature that are similar to Mars conditions as far as we know.
Living on Mars permanently, yes a few people probably within the next 1000 years.

Yes.
Are we really growing plants and stuff? no one is there to do this...if we are it will be in experiments and in minute ammounts, its not like we've got greenhouses up there.
I probably wouldn't call it "outgrow" i'd say it were more...waste earth and squander what is here, or get too many in numbers for one planet to sustain us. but i'm sure we'll have colonies on Mars some day...maybe in this century.

Think about the fact that the planet Mars is like a dead planet and not a "NEW" one.Chances are we will in some way exterminate ourselves here long before we learn to colonize a dead planet. We will never outgrow our own arrogance before it destroys us. Half a nice day.

No, we are not growing plants and "stuff" on mars.
Perhaps our evolved minds will lead us to success as long as you are naturally selected, sorry.

It might not be success, but necessity that leads to that future. Over population, pollution, etc. The earth would be like a really crappy neighborhood that nobody could wait to leave.
