I have an online Spanish course and I can't figure out how to get an accent over my letters while I'm typing. It counts off it I don't use the accent.

I have used the Quia website in college. When doing your work, there should be a small toolbar near the top of the page that has the accent marks for you.

For the accents you may use the following to get your vocals accented:

alt + 160= á

alt + 161= í

alt + 162= ó

alt + 163= ú

alt + 130= é

For the some words that have the letter "ñ" or the same one in capital "Ñ" you use:

alt + 164= ñ

alt + 165= Ñ

Hope this help. If there any other thing I can help you with don't hesitate to let me know.

if u have an apple computer you hold down the "apple" button and the "e" button at the same time then let go. Next press what ever letter that needs an accent mark. And wallah... the accent mark will be there. If this doesn't work then hold down the "apple" and "e" button then PRESS (don't hold) whatever letter that needs the accent mark while still holding down the "apple" and "e" buttons. Do this 4 every letter that needs an accent mark.

Another faster way to do it (besides holding down the alt or ctrl keys) is to use the on screen symbols keyboard (at least if you're using a PC).

Using the language toolbar (it may be on the top or bottom of the screen) there will be an "On Screen Keyboard" icon. click on it, and it should show a small keyboard on the screen with the accents and whatnot. You may have to mess around with the toolbar a bit though before you can see the on-screen keyboard icon.

¡Buena Suerte!
