DirecTV plans to use the same launch platform that experienced last month's explosion of a rocket carrying a Dutch satellite on Boeing's floating platform in the Pacific Ocean.
DirecTV may delay the launch until 2008.

Yes..Ive been looking long and hard for this info for sometime. They plan on sending up the first of two in May and the second in the summertime. I also heard that, that doesnt mean they will be functional just like that. It could be the end of 07 until they are operational. Im frustrated. I really want some decent HD content. But we all have to keep our fingers crossed and hope Directv does this faster.

They were planning 2 launches for this year but it looks like the second one may be delayed due to an explosion on the lauch pad they were planning to use.
