I think it's different for everyone. My biggest fear as I approach middle age is not using my life for something purposeful. I want to know that as I am about to exit this world, that I used my life for something meaningful. I don't want to have wasted the life that I was given.

Yes, what you said is one of the scariest things. What it does is bring your own mortality into sight, which is scary for most. The illusion of immortality that exists in youth leaves us for the latter part of our lives, and we must focus on creating a purpose for our life and enjoy the little things in the moment, right here and now.

As I get older I stop thinking twice about things...I want to do things whether "good" or "bad" because it's all about the experiences we have and the people we meet. we need to leave a legacy or at least try to you know what i mean. don't fear death fear not living.

Death doesn't really scare me, I guess when you start to age you realize that you're changing and that you really can't control nature. Also it might make you feel like you haven't accomplished everything that you wanted to or experienced what you thought you would, so maybe it would also be that feeling of running out of time.

That I will not be healthy enough to enjoy my older years. Arthritis and back issues are just getting worse.

death...your're gone FORVER i mean the rest of the universe after you die still goes on and your gone FOREVER after that...it scares me when i think about it being gone after the melenium 2000 is over 3000,4000,5000.
