i think cards are stupid. They are so dramatic. If I do buy a card for someone it's always a funny one.

The divorce rate is nowhere near 50%.

When no-fault divorce first came in, there was a temporary surge in divorces, and in those years, the number of divorces in a year was equal to half the number of new marriages.

I was just looking this up for something else, the best data I saw was that in fact the % of marriages that end in divorce is falling from 40 towards 30%, and among college educated couples, towards 20%.

I think people should make their own VD card like they used to in the beginning. Valentines Day has nothing to do with the divorce rate...it's for lovers and people who are still together. The divorce rate is high because people are too lazy to work on keeping the romance alive in their relationships.
