For both men and women pants whose hem is just below the ankle bone. For women this can be an inch or two longer if they are wearing heels. Anything longer and it will look like the pants are too big, anything shorter and it looks like you are going out for a walk in the sand and do not want to get your pants messy.

The pant leg should hit the top of your shoe and just break. Anything longer looks sloppy and you will walk on the back. Shorter looks like you are ready to wade in puddles.

Good luck

Depends if you are wearing high heels, if so the right length is just below the ankle. Take flats and heels with you to measure.

For men I measure it on the third( tie) loop on shoes, with 1break., for older guys slight break.Breaks means it does not raise up the pant when you sit down. For women it defends on the mode.

They should be long enough to cover your ankle bone when you sit cross-legged.
