Use of the hemp plant for things such as:

alternative fuel
paper (instead of trees being cut down)
rope
clothing
cosmetics and lotions
soaps, shampoos
in food
(the list goes on...)

The argument for it would be cost, health and environmental issues, etc., and the fact that there is no THC is the hemp plant. The hemp plant is grown differently than the marijuana plant (closer together, grows higher, etc).

I suggested this one because there is so much information available--both in books and on the web. Some of the above things, like hemp lotions, etc. are legal--but they are not doing anything about alternative fuel, paper, and food (which is illegal now).

on going to war in Iraq. As much as it maybe little overkill now I think it would be fun and you could argue for or against with many different points. Plus it is a pretty hot topic at the college level. Or maybe why we need a draft or don't need a draft for the war?
