If they don't have the same views as he does, then I would understand if they didn't support him, but 'not black enough'?
He has enough stacked against him by white people.
Sen. Biden describes Obama as-"the first mainstream African American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy."
It's too bad his race has to be a huge focus, but since it is, I would think at least other black people would support him.
How can he be more 'black'? Do they want him to fit the black stereotype that so many black people are offended by?
He is running to be president of a whole country, not only African-Americans. He needs to appeal to a whole country.

Obama is like Tiger Woods, having a single African-American parent makes him too black for the white people, but too white for black people. The term "black enough" differs between the races and as an African, I believe is refers to how much white blood a black person has.
However, I think the bigger issue that many African-Americans (excluding myself) have with Obama is that, 1). he is half white and 2). his black father was Muslim/of Muslim origin. If he was a typical Southern-born black man many more African-Americans and white people would like him. Unfortunately for him, his heritage just so happens to be from a region of the world that Americans strongly dislikes.

I always remember reading that Mahatma Ghandi, the founder of modern India, wanted neither the Hindu nor the Muslim to be favored. He wanted both to live in a united country along with the Sikhs, the Christians and all the other religions that are part of the Indian culture.

First of all what difference does it make if someone who is black is elected as a president. It makes absolutely no difference what colour someones skin is, does it? And race doesn't count on what your father is by the way, it is all your family!

Thats because black people are more racists against each other than whites today. To many blacks, if your not dark skinned enough, then your not black enough, or man enough, in fact, probably gay or on the "downlow". To many black people, if your not tall enough, your not black enough, because real black men are tall and can play basketball and other sports well.
If you speak English too well, your not black enough. If you know a lot about science, math, history, philosophy and your well cultured, your not black enough.
My point is, black people hate each other more than whites or any other race does. Look at rap music, people are always ripping on each other, and too of the most famous black rappers, "BIGGIE and 2PAC", died because of black on black hate.
I'm black, and I can tell you this: Black people don't usually help each other, they usually only ridicule one another. Thats all I ever got from my own people. When I think about who helped me meet girls, who helped me get jobs, or helped me strengthen my career, who showed me around towns and pointed out good places to eat and hang out at, etc, it was people of other races. Never blacks.
My point is, black on black racism and hate is the reason for the ignorance some blacks have against Obama. I think Obama's smart and badass overall, and hopefully one day he becomes president.

I'm black and female, so I'd be happy if either Hilary or Obama wins!
Barrack Hussein Obama(his middle name is hussein, ironic huh?) is biracial. He's half black, half white. Of course, if you saw him on the street, you wouldn't assume he is biracial. I'm guessing that by "black enough" they mean that he isn't all black.
You shouldn't vote for someone based on gender or race though. Vote for someone whos views and opinions are the same as yours. Those politicians don't HAVE to vote for Obama just because he is black! Would you like if whites didn't vote for Obama because he is half black??

it's pure ignorance and to an extent I agree with Yevon, but I've also gotten that label from hispanics and whites so I just think it's people in general being ignorant and using stereotypes to judge how you should act, what should be interested in and what you should look like
