A lot of tribes aren't associated with the western half. The Seminole is one example.

Having grown up in Indiana, I can tell you about the Shawnee, Cherokee, Delaware, Miami, Illinois, Wea, Pottawatomie, and Tuscarawas. Also, in the south were the Creek, the Alabama, the Seminole, the Mingo, to name a very few.
