I want to know why Africa is painted in negative terms in most of the Western countries?

they are stereotyped as uncivilized ... it allows the west to ignore them and also to plan to rape their natural resources while nobody really pays attention to what is going on ...

Could be cause they seem incapable of feeding themselves, they drink the same water they urinate and defecate in, they think raping a baby cures AIDS, they live in mud-huts a beaver could build, they mutilate young girls genitals, they still butcher and eat rival tribes, they're always wanting hand-outs and then squander whats given to them.
Of course all their problems can be attributed to white oppression. Or it could be due to low IQ, with an average of 65,
I doubt they'll ever put a Pygmy on the moon anytime soon.

i dont think the generoal sterotype of Africa is what you say..
but.. everyone has stereotypes .. or an impression of everyone.. such as.. Texas is nothing but cowboys... The south is nothing but tractors and rednecks.. California is nothing but the rich and tanned.. France is nothing but snobby.. Brazil is nothing but soccer and beaches..

Because from what we see, Africa is a "third-world continent" (I don't care if that is "politically correct" or not). We see you as a bunch of poor black folks.
My dad is from Nigeria, and he even admits to how hard life was for him growing up as a kid. The sad thing is that his country has hardly changed!
