I had my first kiss when I was 14. Soon to be followed by my first "serious boyfriend". We were together about 4 months. I found out he cheated so I ended things w/ him and moved on. I had a few serious boyfriends, but mY first trueeeee love began when I was 16. I AM NOW 21 and will be making my 5 year anniversary with my boyfriend this SPRING. I was always very mature for my age and was always ready to committ and be a good, loyal, faithful girlfriend. It just so happened the guys I were attracted to did not want the same at that particular time. I don't know how "Serious" or "mature" you and your boyfriend are, but if you are HAPPY and being respected and shown care/love, then NO 7 months is not a long time. Just remember you ARE young and don't do ANYTHING sexual or otherwise until you are ready. Be safe and smart about it. That's my only advice for you. I finally found my soulmate when I was 16. It was NOT because I was 16.. it was because I finally met a special guy. Had we been 13 or 14 when we met, I do believe we woulda been together since then. People always ask me how I can be with a guy 5 years and not be sick of him. The answer is simple: when you love someone and have a friendship as well as relationship, you can stand to be around them 5 months.. 5 years or 50 years. You never know.. you may end up marrying this guy.. or you may end up having a new boyfriend by summer. Just follow your heart. I see so many girls who feel they are obligated to STAY with a guy just because they have invested X amount of months or years and they are miserable. On the other hand, I also see people who have invested the time, energy and love and think just because its been "A LONG TIME" they should end it and move on... and they end up regretting their decision to end it because they were actually happy in their relationship.

HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. IT'S A LOT TO TAKE IN, BUT ITS VALUABLE LIFE LESSONS I'M PASSING ON. =) HAPPY V-DAY!!

Well my longest relationship was two years and that was when I was 11 and then my relationship kind of just died a couple of months ago (I'm 13). That's the longest out of anybody I know at my school. But yeah, 7 months is good!

Yeah that's pretty long for your age....for an adult relationship it's not all that long though. The reason being is because when you are 13 you and your peers do so much changing in your likes and dislikes it's hard to stay with one person. I think when I was 13 my longer relationship was about 4 months.

It sure is,13 you had to be in middle school,in those days people would break up 2 days later,so you 7 mo. is a long time for that age.

i did not have my first relationship unti I was 18. I was in college, first year. i was scared of boys when I was your age. I spent most of my life known as the boys "little sister". Who wants to date their sister? anyways, I do actually think you are a little too young for serious long term relationships. but I have a few friends who started dating at your age and are happily married now for 10 years. so whatever you feel is right.

Good grief. Why would you want to be in a relationship at 13? Live your life, girl. There's plenty of time for boys after you've figured out who you are and what you want to be. At this age you're only opening yourself up to heartache and sorrow.
