I had an abnormal pap a while back which resulted in a follow up biopsy and cryo surgery. It's basically the "freezing" version of lazer surgery. The top layer of cells are frozen and will "melt" away in short order. I was a bit uncomfortable for a day, but fine after that. I've also had clear paps since (17 years).

I had cryo surgery about 27 years ago. They froze the cells and it took about a week or two to melt. That means a whole lot of discharge and bleeding. The bright side of this is in 27 years I never had another infection.

it just means you have some abnormal cells on your cervix. I had cryo about 15 years ago, it is done in the office and I read a magazine through the whole procedure. i had some spotting for a few days after, it really wasn't a big deal.
