You probably can find some Chinese junk for under a thousand, but just remember that the damn thing is a disposable unit.
When it breaks, you throw it out with the rest of the trash.

Any "NEW" dirt bike for under $1000 is going to be junk. I Guarantee that! My neighbor bought a yumbo or jumbo, whatever and had plastic falling off after the first hill-no jumps. Then the radiator hose came off and it has pretty much been parked since then. No buyers. He went and bought a new CRF450 and has not missed a ride yet.

The truth is you're not going to find a decent bike under $1000! You'll find some....but the're going to break down and thats it! No more bike for your son! I would recommend purchasing a bike with an exceptional engine. Not one thats going to putter around and eventually drop from the bike!

They are always available for whatever price you want, in your dreams.
Even a good used one is going to be more than $1,000, (unless your getting a stolen one?????)

This is a joke, right? I bought a new 1971 Yamaha 250 MX in 1971, $1000.00 out the door, NO warranty, you race them!
