Can someone explain me what iso standards are and how are they applied? I don't have any idea of it, and I need the information for a job interview. Hope someone can help me.

I think international standard organization. Could be wrong though. Anyway there are different numbers for different requirements like 14001, 9001 etc. But when a company passes a lot of these standards then other companies throughout the world look better at you to do more consistentent in products that you produce. You are also supose to keep up and be able to tell what raw material goes into which product that you make. You have standards for everything that you do. If you are are in charge of them make them as general as possible. Every so often aditors come around and make sure you follow all of your standards that you have set up. This is just a general idea and I cannot remember what all the standards are and what must be done to meet them. sorry for my spelling also.
