Hang on - I'll just check with Gary Glitter and see if he has any views on this ...

... He says it does stll exist and it does still mean the same thing - not that I'd trust anything he says if I were you!

The term "jailbait" hasn't changed much since I was young. According to the Urban Dictionary:
1) An attractive underaged girl who you'd like to have sex with. But if you get caught doing it with her you'll go to jail, so she's the bait that lures you into the jail cell, hence the term jailbait.
2) A juvenile delinquent or repeat offender, from their taste for getting into trouble, their constant trips to prison, and their predictable fate when they get there.

Wow! I haven't heard that one for years.
There seems to be even more children out there whose immature brains surrender control to their hormones. With the new curriculum in schools teaching makeup and fashion skills, children getting bigger every generation and puberty, especially in girls getting earlier and earlier it is difficult to sort out the 13 & 14 year olds from the 17 - 18 year olds. When they reach fifteen the average man on the street has no chance.

As to the meaning changing I suspect that a sexually aroused young teenager of either sex can now be referred to as 'jail bait' instead of just the girls as the phrase originally referred to.

I've always known of that word to exist. It means someone who is sexy but under 18 years of age. I hear it applied to girls more than boys.

Yes, it still exists.

I don't believe the meaning has changed. Well, in some places the age of consent has risen, then I guess you can say its changed.
