Why do a lot of males do that. I can't say I have ever seen a female do it. But that doesn't mean girls don't do it. It just seems to be a male thing to do.
When I was a flight attendant I even saw a male passenger take a magazine into the toilet on the Aircraft. I was only a short flight.
Why do guys do that?

Answer to the short flight question.
I meant short flying time. The flight only took 45 min between Melbourne and Canberra.

Well, in my house, the In Style magazines in the bathroom outnumber my books by a fair margin (they're heavier, too). Maybe some of us just like overcoming stereotypes.
Slightly more seriously, it could be because men only have to sit down for the second of those two activities. This may be a shot in the dark, but maybe women are just used to having to sit down every time, whereas men get bored if it takes longer than the 45 seconds or so it takes us to pee.

To get in the "mood"? I'm never in there long enough at home to read anything, but if traveling or away from home...I need a "mood enhancer" to feel...whatever I feel at home....safe? relaxed? alone?
If in a public place away from home, I may be distracted from having to go by noise, lack of privacy, and/or strangeness. I find myself looking at the floor (how clean it is or isn't), the spaces between the tiles on the floor, or how big the space is between the stall walls, or ANYTHING that might make me feel at home (texture in the woodwork...or looking for idiotic reading material scratched on the doors--just so I can let the necessary body parts relax and do their thing. But I'm not a guy.
Dad used to take the Sunday paper in there. I didn't want to read the comics AFTERward...

I don't know about women, but there's nothing like unbending the mind with a good story while at free dangle. Out of curiousity, explain how you are a short flight.

I suppose that it is better to stare at the magazine than to read the graffiti or stare at a blank wall.
What do women do instead? Just sit and daydream until done?

tremendous question. i constantly ask your self too. whilst their accomplished pooing do they purely enable it sit down interior the bathroom till their accomplished with the magazine or provide consistent courtesy flushes and save analyzing? i dont get it

haha what else can you do while youre on the pot? its more interesting than the wall or the puddle of pee where someone missed thats for sure.
