Adopting children from the USA won't give the celebrity huge amounts of publicity.

Seriously, other than the publicity they get, which I think is a major motivation for them. It is very difficult to adopt in the U.S. The courts view adoptive parents as strangers to the child. The biological parents continue to have rights even if they are not involved in the childs life at all. This country makes it so difficult to adopt with no strings attached.

Because it's an easier process.
Here it is very long and involved. 3 to 5 years. Add to that the fear that this child's parent or parents may change their mind and come looking.
Overseas, depending on where you go, can take anywhere from 6 months to a year and a half.

They do because they think society will like them more if they look giving. I ask that question every day.. They also think that we will treat them better like stop talking ****. But that is not going to happen because they are beautiful and not all people can afford to get a new part of there body if it looks old.

Laws and rules are stricter here in the US. Some feel they are helping other countries, doing their part. But I feel ya, Take care of home (US) first.

It is easier and faster to adopt from outside the US.

i always wondered that as well.they are always going off to Africa to adopt babies.but why can't they adopt the black babies we got here at home.

too much troule to adopt in US. mother mite change her mind, get too involved etc.
