Depends on where you are from. Every city and state has its own top law firms. To some extent law firms are becoming more regional and national but there are still so many that it's hard to say who the main players are. Law firms are not like soft drinks where the main players are Coke and Pepsi. And "most respected" is a very subjective quality...

From the eyes of public, no lawyer or law firm is respected...we all know that these guys get money to defend a wrong, obstruct the justice that the criminal don't get punished...or receive benefits which is not entitle to it...
We heard a lot about corruption in American legal system...However the World really have no knowledge about shocking corruption among Canadian lawyers and judges...
In Canada, in particularly in Toronto, the influenced agent in media have main role to make a 'corrupt' judge or law firm of as the most respected one...
So, here, in Toronto, a Chief Judge in fact means a Head of criminal organization having hands in smuggling drugs and felonies. I filed lawsuit against them at Federal Court of Canada;
Nourhaghighi v. Canada; T-1900-96 indicating indicating how drugs comes to Canada from Iran.
