There were quite a few benefits to Georgia’s location:

Tourism: It was located next to the Black see and on Caucasian mountains. That was a great location for tourism and leisure both summer and winter seasons. It high mountains peaks and subtropical climate of Black see region made it an excellent place to visit.

Trade and manufacturing: Historically Georgia's closeness to Middle East, Greece and Europe provided it with excellent opportunities for trade and cultural exchange. Georgia has a long history of writing, poetry and literature. Georgian people were known all over ancient world for their skills and trade.

Mountains of Georgia are rich of natural resources, like forests, hydropower, manganese deposits, iron, copper, also some coal and gas deposits.

Its unique climate made it one of the largest producers of citrus, wide variety of fruits and tea.
