3 compromises -

Determination of slavery's legality was to be postponed
Bicameral legislature with both a Senate and a House
State's rights were defined as every government right not designated to the Federal gov't

GC is how there is a House determined by pop. and a house determined by statehood, 3/5ths is that every state's slave population will count as 3/5ths of what it is for additional representatives, and the slave trade will be allowed or disallowed by individual state preference (abolition will not be a federal issue).
