Yes my speakers work because i can listen to songs. when i play videos i see the video perfectly i just dont hear anything and the volume is all the way up. i dont think the movie file is messed up because i put 4 different videos on there and they all have no sound. and whats this about adding the audio file along with the movie file?

No sound at all or no sound out of the head phones. You have to have them there are no internal speakers in ipod's.

did you add the audio file for the movie with it? sometimes people don't do this. i'm gonna assume you were smart enough to plug in head phones.

You have to hook up some sort of output, such as headphones or computer speakers.

your headphones might be broken... or the video files might be messed up
