What to wear for this Semi Formal -- Winter/Snow?

Question

Okay, so it's winter, and there is a lot of snow here, and more on the way. It is really really cold.
What. Do. I. Wear since it's so cold, and this event will actually be outdoors, can you believe it!

I would wear a cute dress (knee-length) with opaqe tights and an empire coat to keep you warm. And, gloves of course!

5' 8" is far above the average height for females so you should be fine. I almost would exclusively recommend flats in your case especially if you have a date, because guys like to have a little height on their dates. Besides, flats are extremely fashionable right now and at the end of the day its only a high school semi formal.

Yeah, I have a semi-formal dance in this kind of weather too- except thank god it's indoors! I would generally say to keep warm, wear jeans and a cute, formal sweater. But then again, do you think that it's formal enough? Hmmm....actually, I think, DO go with the jeans- but make sure that they're nice ones! Then....wear a short but really cute dress over top of them. If the dress has straps, then get a white sweater to wear unzippered/unbuttoned over it! I think a nice sweater will definitly be the best idea. some comfortable boots and a nice pair of jeans (no rips ect) maybe even a nice coat if you think you will need it. go with layers, tank top, t shirt then the sweater. the more layers the warmer you will be and then you wont need the coat...

You should wear a pair of nice ugg boots with dressy pants, and make sure to wear many layers so your not cold... hope this helps!

i would go with cute pants and a sweater or jacket with a tank under it b.c u dont want to be miserable and coldand boots ankle or high puferably highto keep snow off ur shoes

I would personally go with black or white dresses.
Black to stand out of the whole cold white wintery theme, and white to blend in with it. :)
