Apple or MIcrosoft? Steve Jobs or Bill Gates? And WHY?

The biggest reason for choosing Macs over PC is that according to Consumer Reports, Mac computers have higher quality standards and better customer support than PC brands. And a PC using writer on ZDNet found out that to make a PC have the same things a standard Mac does made the PC cost more. So you get a lot for your money.

It is true that there are viruses for Macs but a lot fewer than PCs because it is harder to write viruses for Macs and there are fewer of them. All computers regardless of OS should have virus protection.

One more thing. PC people often point to the fact that there are more programs written for PCs, which is true, but do you really need to choose between 50 photo programs for the PC and 30 for the Mac? Everything you want to do with a computer can be found for the Mac so don't worry about finding suitable programs for it.

Tough question... Macs are fairly reliable and last a while, however not many programs are compatible with the MAC... PC, is more universally compatible but much more prone to glitches and viruses... if your looking for a good personal computer, I'd go mac, but if you are looking for something to serve a specific purpose, you may want to go PC... Price can also be an issue... PCs may be cheap, but repairs can be expensive, where as macs will last long with few problems, but are far more expensive. In terms of user friendliness, PCs are very difficult to figure out, where as macs are usually easily understood and used.

In a World without walls or Fences....who needs Windows and Gates....use Linux....

A PC has more compatible parts...Mac is finally starting to accept "PC" upgrades....

Mac is not as stable as they say it is....but neither is Windows...

You can get a PC for a lot less than a Mac....

OSX is really good at Video Editing and Audio Editing....Windows is a more compatible with everything but really good at nothing...

Mac has no viruses....but that is because 90% of computer users are using Windows...same reason there are no Linux Viruses...

Linux is more difficult...but you can go ANYTHING!!...

Microsoft. Apple has beautiful interface and is easy to use. It's great for pictures/video. Good looking machines. BUT all this stuff about Windows being insecure and no viruses for Macs and Windows errors, that's bull. No machine is perfect, but Windows allows more open use, you can do whatever you want. No one who makes programs makes it on a Mac.

So in my opinion I like Windows. But Mac is easy to use and better for those who use computers less/are less experienced.

Macs are okay but mainly all show
MS well they may not be perfect but most of the time they get the job done And about viruses on MS just use common sense don't download attachments from emails of which you don't know the sender and if downloading off sites that seem a bit "hefty dodgy" scan it with a antivirus software before you even touch it!

PC is better. More user friendly and affordable. To the second part of your question - Bill Gates. Just compare bank accounts.

Microsoft
It has more programs made for Microsoft. More programs mean more options.

Apple is okay. Nice interface and mostly immune to viruses and spyware.

No real winner. None is perfect.
