I used to play ball ferociously when I was younger, then got into an accident and broke my leg very badly. Now i'm 100% again. I started playing again last year (after 8 years!) and I'm hoping to get back my skills and abilities that I had when I was much younger. I'm now 41! Think it's possible?

If you are 41 you can still play competitively. I've seen guys come to the open gym nite runs that are 45 and 46 years old. Now I am going to be blunt with you. You are not going to regain all the skills and abilities that you had when you were much younger. The reason being is your body will just not allow it. Mentally you will know what you want to do but physically your body will not allow it. I am 27 and I have problems doing some things that I used to be able to do when I was in high school. Now, I am not saying you will not regain any skills you had back in the days, only some. Good luck.

If you mean at the international level, usually players stop around 35 years old... If you are playing casually then i dont think theres a age limit... Theres this guy i used to play basketball with he's in his early 40s but he still plays like a teenager so theres no telling when is it TOO OLD, also my PE teacher is in his mid 30s, his 5'7 and still can GRAB RIM easily... What matters is your FITNESS, if you are in shape, jolly well play on... Also another thing that you can expand on is your passing and shooting skills rather then you slashing skills... I know a guy who shoots so well that if you give him a bit of light, he would sink the shot 90% of the time... It really gets irritating and he doesnt have to be athletic to be good( although he is ). And one thing that young players cant do well is shooting and passing which older veterans like you would have more experience...

Skills yes... abilities probably not. You're 41 ( I'm not far behind) the knees, back and everything else aren't what they use to be. Here's what I've found; move your game from MJ and Dominique to Magic and Bird - no vertical, less speed but smarter and craftier than everyone else on the floor.

No way. i'm 17 and nonetheless play. maximum of my acquaintances additionally play that are my age. Why would you provide up in case you relish enjoying it? provide up once you haave had adequate, till then save enjoying. i'd say that the 'ordinary' age to play YuGiOh is approximately 8-35 Yrs previous. the actual competative gamers that flow to regionals ans stuff are approximately 20-30 years previous, so yo uare no longer on my own in case you play long when you turn 14.

You can definitely play competitively when you are 41. I would say people can play competitively until they are 50 or once they fell worn out whichever comes first. If you sat out 8 years and you miss the game give it your best shot. You don't have to be the best, just enjoy it.
