Early pregnancy symptom no.
Later pregnancy symptom yes.
Extreme itching should be checked by a doc, he'll do a blood test and bile serum screening. Extreme itching can be a symptom of Cholestasis of pregnancy which can cause stillbirths if not properly treated.

Yes its the hormones in the body affecting your skin. I have the same problem
from net
Pregnancy hormones can also result in some itching during pregnancy as well as changes in your liver enzymes.
Some women experience unusual itching during pregnancy. This may occur in the soles of feet or in the palms of your hands while pregnant. This condition may be caused by increasing levels of bile salts from the liver in the body during pregnancy.
Mild itching is common in pregnancy because of the increased blood supply to the skin. In late pregnancy the skin of the abdomen is stretched and this may also cause itchiness. Wearing loose clothing may help
If it becomes severe or bumpy see a doc

My skin dried out really bad for a while but thanks to my lotion it stopped itching and if I don't keep lotion on my belly it starts itching too. But I dont scratch it because I don't want to stretch the skin or damage it. Use a really good lotion and it should stop, also if you use a soap with alot of fragrance or chemicals then it can dry skin out too. You can get a humidifier for your home since usually in the winter the air is dry from the heat and it can wreak havok on your body. I found that lotion and the humidifier were the keys to all my problems. Good luck.

If you are far enough along that your skin is stretching then yes itching is normal. If just in the early weeks, no reason for the itch.

Itchy boobs were normal for me each time early on...like between 6 and maybe 12 weeks. I never had any other parts of my body itch, not even my belly.

Yes, especially if you're starting to show. It's a side effect of the skin stretching. I itched horribly, but lotion helped.
