Don't listen to those 360 fanboys who are purposely neglecting some things from the PS3 and Wii in order to make the 360 look better.
All 3 systems have their version of a virtual arcade. It's not exclusive to the 360. PS3 has the Sony online store which lets you play PSX games on your PSP. You can also download games to play on your PS3. Nintendo has the Virtual Console, which gives you access to all the games that's ever been made by Nintendo from the NES to the N64, and then some from other consoles, such as the TurboGraphix 16 and Sega Genesis.
The only thing that's exclusive to the 360 is the achievement points. Personally, I don't see any purpose of the achievement points except to brag to people about how good of a player you are or how big of a dork you are because you don't have a life, so all you do is spend your time playing crappy 360 games just to up your gamer score. I consider the achievement points similar to the Yahoo Answer points. They're both worthless except when you want to brag.
To add to the list of PS3 games to look forward to: Gran Turismo 5, Tekken 6, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Vs. XIII, Lair, Heavenly Sword, Afrika (not much is known about it, but it just might be the sleeper hit for the PS3, much like PaRappa for PSX, Katamari for PS2), Motor Storm, God of War 3.
If money is an issue, then you're only going to be able to get the console that's within your price range. All 3 consoles fall within a certain price range that's not in each other's neighborhood (if you go all out on the PS3 and 360). Wii is 250, Wii is 400, and PS3 is 600. Whatever you can afford is what you can get.
If you want to know which system is the best, it's still a toss up. All 3 systems are great, but each system also has their downfall.
Let's begin with the PS3. It's downfall is the Blu-ray which makes it more expensive than the others. Also, Sony has a huge ego, and still believes that it's going to win the next gen war. MS and Nintendo have gone out of their way to reach out to the fans, Sony hasn't done anything except rely on the Playstation name. It's this attitude that's going to make gamers stay away from the PS3.
Next up is the 360: To begin with, Japan just can't embrace the 360, no matter how hard MS has tried. It recruited some of the best names in RPG, and Blue Dragon was released, but it didn't make any dent in the Japanese market.
And finally, the Wii. Is the Wii-mote a gimmick or is it a legitimate controller. Will other game developers, besides Nintendo, find other innovative ways to use the Wii-mote? Also, with the Gamecube disaster, will Nintendo be able to convince developers to give it a second chance.
No matter which system you end up picking, I think you're going to enjoy it.

It depends,
Do you care about high res graphics? Do you want basically the same gameplay experience that last generations consoles offer? Do you care if the system is expensive? In that case, the PS3 and XBOX 360 offer the high res graphics, same ol gameplay are are more expensive.
Do you want to try out a new gameplay experience with the potential to be the future of gaming? Do you want access to a back library spanning Nintendo's entire gaming history? Do you want the price to be within the realm of reality? Then Nintendo's Wii is for you.
Not only did Nintendo take their system in the gameplay and not graphics direction (although the graphics still outshine the Gamecube), they kept their system at a cheaper price than competitors and managed to come up with the virtial console system, which allows you to purchase and play games from Nintendo's back library spanning back to the NES. If it were me, I would go with the Wii. Its fun, its more affordable, and its something new in a game world where Sony and Microsoft think prettier=better.

The definite answer is the Wii not only is it cheaper BUT it is also better. I have all 3.
Admittingly the Wiis graphics are not as good as the other 2 but it doesnt matter they are good enough for the games to look great and for you to still have an osm experience. Also the game selection is way better. Not only do you get all the classics like mario link etc. but there is also a large support from 3rd party companies. Also it is innovative and different it is fun for hardcore gamers and the casual gamer and everyone in between.
So overall the only reason not to get a wii is if all you care about is graphics. Also i would like to point out that this is not a biased opinion seeing as i own ALL 3.
Hope i helped!

In my opinion the PS3 is the best hardware to by. But it depends on what you are going to play or do. If it's a money issue get the Wii. If you like to play online get the Xbox360. If you want enhanced gameplay and a great controller get the PS3. Even though the Wii is totally interactive.

the wii and the 360 are both ok. the 360 has better graphics than the wii. but the 360 wont get any better. they have tapped into all the 360s power. the ps3 is untapped and will soon be making games that make the 360 look silly

If you really like graphics and hardwere and like single players, go with PS3. It only has one good game, Resistance. If you want more good games like Gears of War , go with 360. If you like family party games, go with the Wii.

Whichever one you want. If you can't decide then don't buy one. Nobody's making you waste money. >.>
And to every idiot who is going to answer after me, if you're gonna be a fanboy and vote for one system, at least list some GOOD reasons as to why he should buy it. Honestly, you guys suck at giving advice.
