I love Rascal Flatts and Toby Keith. Also, I love Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, and Faith Hill. No one in my school likes country, they all like hip hop and stuff like that. How can I convince my friends and peers to like Country Music? I am 12 going on 13.

I'm Totally like you! I'm going to 13 too and I have many friends that hate country music! When they start to talk about music I always pop up with country music. I ♥LOVE♥ Rascal Flatts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just have like 2 friends that like country. One likes everything and a little of country and the other one I dont even talk to him that much.

I tell you it's good to meet someone on here who likes country music as much as i do.you can't convince anyone to like it cause i have tried but no one i know likes country but i like it.I'm 14 and I'll be 15 next week and that's the music I've listened to all my life.i like

Don't convince them to like it, that's how you get fakers. I hate the fakers. I moved up to NY from NC 2 years ago, and went to a country club. The only people I saw there were just a bunch of college hussie girls with pink glittery cowboy hats on trying to hang all over the "fake" guys. That's not country, it's stupid. Don't get anyone else to like country. It's going to be a dumb little trend in a few years if some people find out about it lol. Just keep it to yourself and enjoy! Real country comes from the heart, you're not country if you put on boots or a cowboy hat because you think you look cute, you're a poser.

I love Rascal Flatts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also listen to Keith Urban, Emerson Drive, Toby Keith and Carrie Underwood, but I usually just listen to whatever is on my local country radio station, wild country 96.5 in New York

nothing wrong with country music, I'm sure your friends would like it if they just gave it a chance. when ever they hang around you play some country...eventually they will hear a song that appeals to them and then you can share information about that artist with them. don't worry if they don't listen to it. we are a special circle of friends that enjoy good country music and we probably don't need them in our club anyway. good luck.

you can't convince any one to like something, they have to like it themselves for what it is. try the tribute to barbara mandrell: i was country when country was'nt cool. everybody is young & famous & singing her songs. listen to the instruments. WOW! if there are any country music themed dances for your age group ask a friend to go along with you, keep your curfew! dance your heart out & enjoy the sounds, smells & company. your friend will want to listen again & participate on a fun outting again. good times! YEE_HAW.

Coutry sucks. The only good country singer is the man in black i can't think of his name right now. LIsten to some real music though. Like AC/DC or Led Zeppelin or whatever. Seriously. GIve it up.

Don't try to change others taste in music, everybody already has their mind set on what they like and don't like....
I like country, I wouldn't say LOVE, but I like it. I'm in high school, but I also live in TN, so if you don't like country music... the kinda kick you out of the state. hahaha
