Alright, I just wanted to talk a little nap, so i closed my eyes. I then, was waking up when all of a sudden something put me back into dreaming. See, just for a little history, My cat was 12 years old and he died under my bed, his name was Meko. He died on June 1st, 2006. Anyway, when I was sent back to dreaming, I felt like something was walking on me, then I see my cat and I go, Who are you??? and he was saying something to me, but I forgot what it was then in my dreams I turned on the light and he started burning in flames. I woke up on my bed, scared as crap. IT WAS SO SCARY. Then When I woke up, I felt as someone wouldn't let me get up. My whole body was paralyzed my eyes wouldn't open, but then like 5 seconds later my eyes started to open and ny whole body was still frozen, I tried to call my sister, but my jaw was like paralyzed and I felt some on my back, and I heard something behind me, then I tried to fight the paralyzing thing and a minute later I wasn't paralyzing anymore?

Hi there. I have always been a cat owner and often dream about my kitties whether past or present. They are a constant part of your life so it is no premonition of impending doom if they pop up from time to time in your dreams. Since he was a pet, his personality would have implemented itself on you in some way just as a human's would. What did he represent to you? A lot of times when we dream about people/pets/etc that are gone, it has to do with some aspect of our personalities that we are afraid we are losing or are becoming unable to control.
I also used to have dreams about being paralyzed - and oddly enough had one with a big cat about to attack me. I knew I was dreaming and tried desperately to call out in my sleep to wake myself up. They are the worst - and if you go back to sleep too soon afterwards they will just happen all over again where they left off. When I was having those awful paralytic dreams I was at a point in my life where everything was changing and I felt like I didn't have any control over anything. Is someone close to you, perhaps a family member, going through something that you feel like you can't help out with? Are there changes happening in your life that scare you because you don't know what the results will be? You could be feeling this physical paralysis as an embodiment of what you feel is emotional inability to act on something.
Our dreams are just a really cool way that our minds try and communicate with us to deal with the things that we can't always put into words or pinpoint as the cause of stress. Maybe you could try and write down all the emotions you felt in your dreams and compare them to something that's happening in your life right now. You may learn that your subconscious is trying to help you discover how something is really affecting you so that you can deal with it confidently.
Hope this helps :-)

Cat
To see a cat in your dream, signifies much misfortune, treachery, and bad luck. However, for the cat lover, cats signifies an independent spirit, feminine sexuality, creativity, and power. If the cat is aggressive, then it suggests that you are having problems with the feminine aspect of yourself. If a cat is biting you, then it symbolizes the devouring female. Perhaps you are taking and taking without giving. You may be expressing some fear or frustration especially when something is not going as planned. If you see a cat with no tail, then it signifies a lost of independence and lack of autonomy.

To dream that you chase the cat away, signifies that you will overcome your obstacles.

To see a white cat in your dream, denotes that you are going through difficult times. If you see a black cat in your dream, then it indicates that you are experiencing some fear in using your psychic abilities and believing in your intuition. You may erroneously associate the black cat with evil, destruction, and bad luck.

Paralyzed
To dream that you are paralyzed, may reflect the current state of your body while you are dreaming. During the REM state of sleep you really are immobile and paralyzed. However symbolically, dreaming that you are paralyzed may mean you are feeling helpless or pinned down in some aspect or circumstances of your waking life. You may feel unable to deal with a situation or that you can't do or change anything. Alternatively, you may feel emotionally paralyzed. You may have difficulties in expressing yourself.

Astral projection is the only thing that I can think of. Your astral projection wasn't astral not etheric if anyone out there knows abouts this. In etheric projection it is said that you go to a special realm, where everything is different, there is a certain kind of etheric projection where everything is the same as in the real world but weird things occur. It seems that you involutarily astral projected and that is what happend. For some peolpe after they have astral projected, they feel parylized for a while after. If you want to know more than what I have described go to wikipedia and search astral projection to learn all you'll need to know. I don't think that it was a dream.

It just sounds like a weird dream. As far as feeling paralyzed, that is a pretty common thing- My family (a big one) talked about that not long ago, and most of us have had that experience. Sorry about your cat.

I'm more concerned about the second part of your paragraph, the paralysis part. You may be suffering from Sleep Paralysis.

Get this looked into.

Dreams are caused by your subconscious...what do you think your subconscious is trying to tell you?
