I agree. I think there are a lot of people on here who are just report-happy. :)

At the late great period when every other q used the phrase butt-fk, I reported those. Mostly I just let it go - it doesn't hurt me, and if it gives the kids that much fun, let 'em do it. I just got tired of that phrase, and the questions that accompanied it were sickening.

Usually only spam. I also report people who insult girls and say things that are sexist and rude, occassionally. And I'm going to be honest and tell you that I also report people when I'm angry with them.

But if it isnt spam, I say let it be unless you actually care about the rules. Whoever does is lame. Who gives a |=uck if it breaks a rule?
Yahoo Answers's rules are lame. No jokes outside the joke category, no offending anyone (aka no expressing opinions strongly) etc., etc.

If the question or statement really pisses me off, then I will report it. Otherwise, I let bygones be bygones.
