i have a few girlfriends who are exceptionally beautiful, and it always bothered me that they dont consider themselves to be pretty even when they clearly are, and they'll never believe me when i say so.
i always considered myself to be average and i have a biggish nose - i never really thought i was pretty.
of course back then i had a really bad self-image, and i still do, but ive been going through some life changes that have made me rethink alot about myself and my world, and it occured to me:
i always tell my girlfriends how nice they look and they dont believe me, and i thought, well, people say that sort of stuff to me all the time and i never believe them. i just take it as a "compliment". of course i myself have told people things that arent 100% true, cause sometimes you just gotta, but thats only when needed.
im starting to see myself as a more attractive woman, but how does one know if others see them that way? how do you know if you are beautiful?

i know beauty is unique, but theres this universal beauty, jaw dropping beauty. how do you know if you have that extra "wow" factor?.people learn to automatically ignore the compliments and the signs, so when its obvious to others it may not be to yourself. and if i think i do, am i just being rediculous?
and why do others opinions affect me so much? people say inner beauty is what really matters, and theoretically i believe that. if so, why do i desire so much to have external beauty, and why do i measure so much of my self worth on it?

Trust me all friends do that....People are always fishing for complements.... some people don't want to think of them selves are really hott or pretty because they don't want to be cocky. I'm sure your not ugly if you have such pretty friends. most people are like there friends. If you don't believe them why don't you ask them to give them a makeover and see if it looks similar to what you already look like. Don't worry about it every ones beautiful....

I had the same problem with my girlfriends, one was asked to be in Playboy!!! yeah
I also have a prominent nose, that I grew to love since it makes me look like my mom. I consider myself average. I think it also depends on how you carry yourself. Are you confident, do you know that you are different and stand out? Our society is based on looks, and quite frankly everyone has the perfect nose and the big breasts thanks to plastic surgery. Being different is beautiful. Let me tell you something, I don't dye my hair, I wear little make-up and I only get my toes done and do my own manicure, I am low maintenance. I do not like to over dress ever!!! Guess what, guys at my work think I am beautiful because I stand out of the crowd. I have acne scars, I have stretch marks, I am a woman and God made me in his image not man's.
One more thing, I was asked to be married 3 times by all of my 3 boyfriends and my girlfriends are still single and waiting!!
Tells you something.

Look, you just need to have self confidence. If someone says your pretty just say thank you it makes you feel better throughout the day. I do it all the time and i think i was in your shoes at one point in time to. There is really no way to tell. But then agian everyone is beautiful in there own little way. God doesnt make ugly people. Just go out there and strut your stuff. If someones says your pretty say thank you. Trust me it gets you along way.

You know you are beautiful because it comes from within, not by the way you look on the outside. Judging how you always seem to compliment others, I say.....you are beautiful inside and out.

everyone is beautiful, no matter what everyone says or thinks. its all a matter of self-confidence. just be true to yourself and care for yourself and others. all the beauty you need comes from the inside.

i used to and still kinda think like that im kinda biggish and my friends are reall skinny and they always ALWAYS say theyre fat it's kinda anoying and then i thought that everyone has something they dont like you just got to deal i also remembered that i am beautiful in ways they arent and theyre beautiful in way im not sooooooooooooooo yeah
