I'v seen people do this many times before and it's just plain awesome. The picture is like this: Two of the person doing two different things.

Example: Beating yourself up

I'd like to add that the backround doesnt change in the slightest bit.

You take two pictures of you in the same background. Open them both with photoshop. Use the select tool (or laso rather) to outline yourself in one image. On the select menu go to feather and make it about 5 (this will make sure you don't have sharp corners and will make the blending of the two pictures better). Hit copy, go to the other document and hit paste. Adjust the position of the new layer using the Move tool for better look. If you don't have the same background you have to make sure Feather is on 0 (Ctrl+Alt+D) and outline yourself exactly. You can make it look better using masks, but you'll have to read through the tutorials for those.

You can take pictures of yourself against a green or blue background, with no patterns. You can easily cut yourself out of the images with the magic wand tool in PS. Do that with several photos, find a cool background and use that as the first layer(backgroud layer). Add one cut image from your blue/green screen images in layer 2, and so on. You can add layers with different images onto the new background. The trick is cutting yourself out of the image without leaving traces of the old backgrounds.

This involves have two pictures of yourself (preferably take in the same room with the same lighting). You would first select you from 1 photo using the lasso tool. Copy and paste into the other photo and begin doing a myriad of blending and touch-up techniques.
