Because of two things:
(1) The art is BEAUTIFUL
(2) The stories do not mince on scenes, storyline or real life issues - instead of avoiding them, then run at them head-on so people can relate to the stories and people much better than traditional cartoons - which is also why much of the Anime is rated for Teens or Adults in the US because they want to shelter kids from the truth about life until they are thrown helplessly into it to experience it for themselves - unlike other countries which want to instead educate their kids about real life and real life situations so they know how to properly deal with things when they get older.

I know. I don't see why people like it. I don't like it for these reasons:
-The storylines are impossible to understand, unless you've been watching it from day 1
-The people all look the same, and it seems really uncreative, because either it's some stupid battle with a creature, or a battle with a human
And that's why I think anime is completely useless!!

well if they are or aren't shouldn't they be aloud to? I mean isn't it there decision whether they do or don't. DO you want them to ask your permission first?
