I should have clarified that I have a wireless keyboard and mouse. Brand spanking new HP Pavillion a1650e. (this is all way over my head lol) I want to install a key logger or sometimes known as a key cathcher. Info says that it will work with a wireless PS/2 connection keyboard.

It's purple, and it has a picture of a keyboard above it usually.

All computers come standard with this (Desktops, anyways. Not sure about laptops). Just look at the back of your computer. You should find a round, purple thing with holes in it. That is your PS/2 connector. The green one is for your mouse. If you don't have this (which you should), you can buy a converter that you can plug into your keyboard and then plug into a USB port.

It is round and looks similar to an S video input. It is the old school connector for your mouse and keyboard. If your computer is new it may not have one, but they are still fairly common. You can also buy PS/2 to USB adaptors if you have a newer computer.

PS/2 connectors are small and round, and on the back of your PC. The keyboard one is usually purple, and the mouse one (which looks the same) is usually green.

Alternatively, your keyboard could be USB. The connector for this is flat and rectangular.
