You can buy fake piercings Fromm fancy dress shops and costume jewelry shops. Clip on earrings for example.
For a nose stud try a sequin held in place with a tiny dab of latex.

surely it would be much easier to either a) get a real piercing or b) buy a clip on hoop from somewhere like Claires Accessories as opposed to attempting to make one youself

OR
Go to a piercing studio and get a real one. You can always remove it when you get fed up with it
