Why do I see so many republicans who want to bomb Iraq/Iran? I guess when republicans say they really don't care about our worldwide image, they aren't kidding...

You know, the really funny thing about Bush's big push against Iran now is that many of the folks he recruited on the Shiite side like Ahmed Chalabi - the original U.S. choice for Iraq puppet dictator - had strong ties to Iran. Maliki is also in Iran's pocket. Why did Bush choose to work with Iranian sympathizers and Iranian agents? Same reason his father sold TOW missiles to Iran in the Iran Contra scandal. Because when it comes right down to it, short-term political and personal gain was more important than principled foreign policy or long-term geopolitical strategy. And the national interest of the United States? Negotiable if you're a Bush. W deliberately worked with these guys because they were willing to provide falsified intelligence on Iraqi WMD programs and could be positioned as a legitimate rival to Saddam, the so-called (CIA created) Iraqi National Congress. In so doing, he established a bulwark of Iranian power in the Iraqi government and provided a conduit for Iranian support of Shiite militias with implicit government support. Nothing that's happening to day with Iran should be any surprise - Bush manufacturered the whole scenario.

REALLY the bottom line is if we don't use our heads and back off, these crazy people are going to kill us all, they have been killing them self's for 1000 years, i feel its much more wise to simply let them continue in their stupidity and destroy them self's, that way it will cost us no more American life's, if we as a nation are intelligent to any level ,we should let those not evolved yet mentally,,, to dissolve them self's this is what nature had in mind seamingly, so why do we go against nature, we have our own problems in the USA, if we spent the money we spend on minding the troubles of other countrys on our problems, america would come out ahead in the end, we are not the world police, have you listend to what the russian president has said about us, we are trying to dominate the world to be the only ruler.

You know, I agree with your statement but you left out the word: Hammer! It's time to drop the hammer.
We are in Iraq for better or for worse, while the US has been attempting to insert some resemblance of justice, people like Sadr are allowed to preach their hate, and we (The US) are responsible. During the early months of the Iraq war, Sadr actually took up a sword a rammed the ruling mullah or imam or what ever they are called . He should be up for murder but our sympathetic democratic always style allowed him to survive at the request of high ranking peace loving Iraq politicians.
Because we passed up that opportunity we are stuck with another fanatical islamist, who would kill an American because they are not Muslim. The entire situation surrounding Sadr is repulsive and defies logic!
And Jane calls us baby killers!

We should never ever consider droping a nuke again. Only if desparate should we repeat that horrible thing. Fallout would be blown over our allies no matter which way it goes.
So, if you want to see the epitome of STUPID that is the thing to do.
