Pokemon will be around as long as Doeramon has been around. The creators are constantly creating new monsters and new games. The anime has been going on for 11 seasons and Ash still hasn't become the pokemon master or aged (he should be about 16). As long as the creators have new ideas and fans still like Pokemon, Pokemon will flourish.
I think they need to have where Ash becomes a Pokemon master, marries Misty and years pass and Ash and Misty have children and each decides to train pokemon and the story revolves around each of them on their journey.

Ash is still training and catching all the pokemons, so its gonna be awhile before it could ever end. Ash's probably gonna continue this forever. the day Ash becomes the best pokemon trainer is the day pokemon ends.
and another thing is Ash has no feelings and is immune or something to girls and love.

Last Episode: Ash Kechum makes his way towards the po-ke-Don Cave to face Wat-A-Mon, the undisputed heavy-weight-pokemon in the universe. Wat-A-Mon comes out swingin like a krazed tazmanian devil. Ash calls out charizard to use his flame-thrower attack. Then all of a sunnden Wat-A-Mon says ''*** a mon screw a mon i said my name is Wat-A-Mon!!!'' then he jumps off a mountain and flies toward the empire state building. Ash is relieved and then he takes misty home for a lil celebration **wink-wink**
