What was the first thing you noticed?
For me, it was the fact that many guys had facial hair....lol, that was the first thing I noticed walking in the door anyway.

The first thing I noticed was this hubcap-sized belt buckle being worn by the tallest human being on the planet as I walked directly into it. I'm on the shorter side, didn't want to wear my glasses, and walked directly into this huge piece of metal. I said "excuse me" to it, veered left and kept going.

Even though its been almost 20 yrs. I remember like it was yesterday .. I was terrified because the high school was so big I thought I would never find my way to class.. And I didnt grow up in a very big town I dont think there were but about 100-125 people in my graduating class.

The first day of high school, the first thing I noticed was the size of the school, and the size of the class (between 900 and 600, can't remember). We took up one whole side of the gym (A LOT of people). Also, I found that it was easy to get lost inside AND outside (2 buildings).

I'm starting high school in the fall, but I do remember the first time I saw the front of the high school. The first thing I noticed was that all the kids looked the same: big kids dressed weirdly... 8th grader's perspective.

Walking in the door on the first day at school, I was struck at how tall everyone seemed. I felt like I looked like SUCH a grade 9!

I was already known due to sports before I got there. The first day was no different from all the other days. High School was a blast.

I remember how cool everybody was...it was like a John Hughes movie or Saved by Bell but only with more African Americans

well lets see hum been a while oh yea the first day of high school i noticed this girl giving me a dirty look sure anough she started a fight with me in home room .( she never did that a gain }cause i won

Well, being a junior in high school, it was not too long ago. I remember freaking out because there was a lot of people, but you get used to being around 4,000 people after a while. I also remember all of the really tall senior guys, and how intimidated I thought. They don't bother me anymore... yup that's basically it.
