I am, in east-central Illinois, USA. We've had over a foot since midnight last night, and we are getting 3-5 more inches tonight! the drifts are 3-6 feet high in some places! We can't get out of our front door. Most people in this area have been home all day and will be again tomorrow as they've closed interstates, airports, highways, businesses, schools and major universities. The police have encouraged everyone to stay home unless there is an absolute emergency and hotels are booked full from stranded travelers. I hope it is warm where you are!

I'm not. From the Sunshine State. But I feel for you guys, especially those people from NY in Oswego, Redfield, Mexico, Parish & other Lake Ontario cities. I was from Jersey City, NJ, and just moved to FL. A few weeks ago I missed the snow, but after seeing the news about the Arctic air and the 9+ days of non-stop snow in the mentioned cities I did not miss the cold anymore. But I am really sorry for you guys. But just be glad you're not in one of those cities.
But if you are in one, I will pray for you guys. To have more strength to shovel those snow. To have the sun peek out of those clouds to warm you guys (and you guys too anywhere it is freezing cold) and melt those mountains of snow. To have more patience, with more snow forecasted to fall this week.
Smile, the sunshine is not far away :)
Well, cheers! HOT COCOA for everyone! :)
or beer if you legal adults prefer :)

I live in Maine - we're supposed to get a couple feet. That's normal - the last month or so of relatively warm weather and not much snow was a welcome relief, especially with heating oil hovering around $2.00 a gallon.
I bet the grocery stores are packed tonight - people seem to get real nervous when a Nor'easter is predicted and school closings are announced ahead of time.
